Best for
Dull-looking or uneven-looking mature skin that tolerates gentle DIY masks. This is not a treatment for melasma, pigmentation disorders or irritation.
Recipe ingredients
- 1 teaspoon very fine rice flour
- 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
- 1–2 teaspoons rose water, enough to make a creamy paste
How to prepare
- Stir rice flour and aloe gel in a small clean bowl.
- Add rose water slowly until the texture is creamy and spreadable.
- Let the mixture sit for 1 minute so the rice flour softens.
How to apply
Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Do not scrub. Leave on for 5–7 minutes, then rinse with plenty of lukewarm water and moisturize.
Frequency and safety
Use once weekly at most. Patch test first and avoid broken, freshly exfoliated, sunburned or irritated skin. If the rice flour feels gritty, do not massage it on the face.
Quick Checklist
- Use very fine rice flour only.
- Keep the texture creamy.
- Do not scrub while rinsing.
- Follow with moisturizer.
