Why this mask is gentle
Oats soften the texture, aloe adds slip, and plain yogurt keeps the mask creamy without turning it into a scrub. The goal is a comfortable, fresh-feeling ritual — not brightening promises or aggressive exfoliation.
Recipe ingredients
- 1 tablespoon plain unsweetened yogurt
- 1 teaspoon finely ground oats or colloidal oats
- 1 teaspoon plain aloe vera gel
- 1/2 teaspoon honey, optional if tolerated
- 1 teaspoon cool water, only if needed
How to mix it
- Stir yogurt, oats and aloe in a clean ceramic bowl.
- Add honey only if your skin has tolerated it before.
- Let the mixture rest for 2 minutes so the oats soften.
- Add cool water drop by drop only if the texture is too thick.
How to use it
- Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
- Leave on for 5–8 minutes; do not let it dry hard.
- Rinse with cool water and a soft cloth.
- Follow with a simple moisturizer.
Frequency and safety
Use once weekly at most. Patch test first, skip broken or irritated skin, and rinse immediately if it stings. Fresh yogurt is a grocery ingredient and should be mixed fresh, used immediately and discarded after one use.
