Why this mask is soft-balance, not stripping
Combination-feeling skin can be shiny in the T-zone and dry or tight on the cheeks. This mask keeps kaolin low and cushions it with oats and aloe so the ritual feels soft rather than squeaky. It is for a short weekly moment, not a daily drying routine.
Recipe ingredients
- 1 teaspoon white kaolin clay
- 1 teaspoon finely ground oat flour or colloidal oats
- 1 teaspoon plain aloe vera gel
- 1–2 teaspoons rose water, added slowly
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon cooled green tea if the mix feels too thick
How to mix it
- Stir kaolin and oat flour in a small clean bowl.
- Add aloe vera gel and one teaspoon rose water.
- Mix until creamy, adding a few extra drops of rose water only if needed.
- Use immediately; do not store the mixed mask.
How to apply
- Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area and lips.
- Keep the layer slightly damp; do not wait for a tight, cracking finish.
- Leave on for 5–8 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
- Follow with a simple moisturizer and sunscreen if it is daytime.
Best rhythm
Use once weekly or less. Skip this mask when skin is sunburned, freshly exfoliated, irritated, peeling, or feeling unusually dry.
Quick checklist
