A soft oat texture is kinder than harsh salt scrubs.
Main ingredients: 1 tablespoon finely ground oats; 1 teaspoon cucumber juice; 1 teaspoon jojoba oil; 2 finely chopped mint leaves.

Best for

Elbows, knees, feet or rough-feeling body areas when the skin is intact and not irritated. Avoid face, freshly shaved skin, sunburn and broken skin.

Recipe ingredients

How to prepare

  1. Stir the oat flour and cucumber juice into a soft paste.
  2. Add jojoba oil and mix until creamy.
  3. Fold in the mint if your skin tolerates it; skip mint for sensitive skin.
  4. Use immediately and discard leftovers.

How to use

Massage with very light pressure on damp body skin for 30–45 seconds. Rinse well, pat dry and apply a simple body oil or moisturizer.

Frequency and safety

Use once weekly at most. Patch test first, never scrub hard, and avoid if mint makes your skin tingle or sting.
