Why this mask is enzyme-free
This mask avoids fruit acids, papaya, pineapple, citrus juice, baking soda and strong exfoliating powders. Oats give the texture a soft cushion, chamomile tea keeps the ritual calm, and oat milk makes the mixture creamy without turning it into a scrub.
Recipe ingredients
- 1 tablespoon finely ground oat flour or colloidal oats
- 1 tablespoon cooled strong chamomile tea
- 1 teaspoon plain unsweetened oat milk
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon aloe vera gel if your skin already tolerates it
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon honey if your skin is not reactive to honey
How to prepare it
- Steep chamomile tea for 5 minutes, then cool completely.
- Mix oat flour with oat milk in a clean bowl.
- Add chamomile tea slowly until the mask looks like a soft cream.
- Stir in aloe or honey only if they are familiar to your skin.
How to use it
- Patch test first on the jaw or inner arm.
- Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
- Leave on for 5–7 minutes; do not let it dry tight.
- Rinse with lukewarm water using soft splashes, not scrubbing.
- Follow with a bland moisturizer.
Best timing
Use once weekly at most. Skip it on days when your skin feels hot, freshly exfoliated, sunburned, wind-chapped or irritated.
Common mistakes
- Adding lemon juice or fruit puree because the mask looks too simple.
- Using whole oats as a scrub during removal.
- Leaving the mask until it cracks or pulls on the skin.
