Ingredients
- ½ cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
- ½ cup chopped cucumber
- ¾ cup unsweetened kefir or plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup cold water, more as needed
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- Optional: 1 scoop plain collagen peptides
How to make it
- Add cucumber, blueberries, kefir or yogurt, water, chia and lime to a blender.
- Blend until smooth. Add another splash of water if the texture is too thick.
- If using collagen, blend again briefly after the smoothie is already smooth.
- Drink fresh. Chia thickens as it sits, so add water if saving for later.
Why these ingredients
Cucumber keeps the smoothie fresh and light, blueberries bring color and polyphenols, chia adds gentle fiber, and yogurt or kefir adds protein. Optional collagen can make it more filling, but it is not required for the recipe to be useful.
Gentle variations
- Use coconut yogurt for a dairy-free version.
- Skip collagen if you prefer food-only beauty drinks.
- Add mint for a cooler summer flavor.
- Use more blueberries if you want a sweeter smoothie without adding sugar.
Quick checklist
- Keep the liquid flexible.
- Drink fresh or within 24 hours refrigerated.
- Use unsweetened yogurt when possible.
- Ask your clinician about collagen if pregnant, breastfeeding, allergic, or on a restricted diet.
