Why this polish stays gentle
Fine sugar gives a brief polishing feel, while pomegranate seed oil and jojoba or almond oil add slip. The key is pressure: this is for slow, light circles on body areas that tolerate polish, not for the face, neck or irritated skin.
Recipe ingredients
- 1 tablespoon fine sugar
- 1 teaspoon pomegranate seed oil
- 1 teaspoon jojoba oil or sweet almond oil
- 1/2 teaspoon aloe vera gel or plain water for softer slip
- Optional: tiny pinch of oat flour if the mix feels too oily
How to mix it
- Combine sugar and oils in a clean small bowl.
- Add aloe or water only if you want a softer, creamier texture.
- Mix just before use; do not store a wet scrub batch.
How to use it
- Use in the shower on damp skin.
- Massage with very light pressure on elbows, knees, ankles or rough-feeling body areas for 20–30 seconds.
- Rinse well and pat dry.
- Apply a plain moisturizer while skin is still slightly damp.
Safety notes
- Do not use after shaving, waxing, sun exposure or active irritation.
- Keep away from the face and chest if those areas are sensitive.
- Oil can make the shower slippery, so rinse the floor carefully.
How often
Once every 7–10 days is enough for most mature body skin. If skin feels tight or shiny after polishing, use it less often and switch to moisturizer-only body care for a while.
