Best for: a small fresh batch with exact quantities, short timing and gentle safety boundaries.
Why this rinse stays light
Nettle tea gives the recipe a fresh herbal base, while aloe vera helps the rinse feel soft on the hair without turning it into a heavy mask. The optional glycerin is only for dry-feeling lengths, because too much humectant near the roots can feel sticky in humid weather.
Recipe ingredients
- 1/2 cup cooled nettle tea, strained
- 1/2 cup cool water
- 1 teaspoon plain aloe vera gel
- Optional: 2 drops vegetable glycerin for dry lengths only
- Optional: 1 teaspoon rose water for scent if tolerated
How to make it
- Steep nettle tea, let it cool completely, and strain carefully.
- Whisk aloe vera gel with one tablespoon of the cool tea until smooth.
- Add the rest of the tea and cool water.
- If your lengths feel dry, add only two drops of glycerin and shake well.
- Pour into a clean spray bottle or cup and use the same day.
How to use it
- After shampooing, pour or mist through the scalp area and lengths.
- Leave for 2–3 minutes, then rinse lightly with cool water.
- Use once weekly at most, and skip on irritated scalp days.
Quick checklist
- Cool and strain the tea.
- Keep glycerin tiny and length-focused.
- Do not store this fresh rinse for later.
- Patch test if your scalp is reactive.
