Keep matcha masks short and gentle; more is not better for reactive skin.
Main ingredients: 1 teaspoon finely ground oats; 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder; 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel; 1–2 teaspoons cooled green tea.

Best for

Dull-looking or tired-looking skin that tolerates green tea well. Avoid during irritation, sunburn, broken skin or right after exfoliation.

Recipe ingredients

How to prepare

  1. Mix oats and matcha in a small bowl.
  2. Add aloe gel and enough cooled tea to make a soft paste.
  3. Let it sit for 1 minute so the oats soften.
  4. Use immediately and discard leftovers.

How to apply

Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5–8 minutes only, then soften with water and rinse without scrubbing.

Frequency and safety

Use once weekly at most. Patch test first; rinse right away if it tingles, stings or feels uncomfortable.
