Why this mask feels cushioned
Finely ground oats give the mask a soft base, while marshmallow root infusion adds a slippery, cushion-like feel. Aloe helps the paste spread without tugging. This is a comfort ritual, not a treatment for irritation.
Recipe ingredients
- 1 tablespoon finely ground oats or colloidal oats
- 1 teaspoon cooled marshmallow root infusion
- 1 teaspoon plain aloe vera gel
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon rose water
- Extra cooled infusion, a few drops at a time, if needed
How to prepare it
- Steep marshmallow root in hot water, then let it cool completely.
- Stir oats and aloe in a clean bowl.
- Add the cooled infusion slowly until the mask becomes creamy.
- Use immediately and discard leftovers.
How to use it
- Patch test first.
- Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding eyes and lips.
- Leave on for 5–7 minutes only.
- Rinse before the mask dries tight, then moisturize.
