Why this mask is kept simple
Sensitive-feeling mature skin usually prefers short ingredient lists. Cooled green tea brings a soft antioxidant-style ritual, aloe adds slip, and oats make the texture calmer. Honey is optional, not required, because some reactive skin does better without sticky ingredients.
Recipe ingredients
- 1 tablespoon strong cooled green tea
- 1 teaspoon plain aloe vera gel
- 1 teaspoon finely ground oats or colloidal oatmeal
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon honey if your skin already tolerates it
How to prepare it
- Steep green tea, cool it fully, and use only one tablespoon.
- Mix aloe and oats in a clean bowl.
- Add green tea slowly until the mask becomes a soft paste.
- Stir in honey only if you know it suits your skin.
How to apply
- Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
- Leave on for 5–8 minutes only.
- Keep the mask damp; do not let it dry hard on the face.
- Rinse with lukewarm water and follow with plain moisturizer.
Frequency and safety
Use once weekly at most. Patch test first, especially if your skin is reactive, flushed, freshly exfoliated or currently stinging. Skip on broken or irritated skin and rinse immediately if the mask feels uncomfortable.
Gentle variation
For a simpler version, use only aloe, oats and cooled green tea. That version is less sticky and can be easier to remove from delicate mature skin.
