- 1 tablespoon whole flaxseeds
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon rose water
- 1/2 teaspoon plain aloe vera gel
- Optional: 1 drop jojoba oil for dry ends only
Best for
Normal to dry-feeling hair lengths that want light definition, less puffiness and a soft hold. This is a styling gel for lengths, not a scalp treatment or hair-growth promise.
How to make it
- Add flaxseeds and water to a small pan.
- Simmer gently for 7–10 minutes, stirring until the liquid turns slippery.
- Strain while warm through a fine sieve or clean cloth.
- Let the gel cool completely, then stir in rose water and aloe gel.
- Use a pea-size amount through damp lengths or ends.
How to use it
Start with less than you think you need. Smooth it over damp hands, then scrunch or glaze the outer layer of hair. If your hair is fine, keep it below ear level and avoid the roots.
Storage and safety
- Keep refrigerated and use within 3 days.
- Discard if the smell or texture changes.
- Avoid use on an irritated scalp.
- Patch test if you are sensitive to botanicals or fragrant waters.
